What it means to be a Reader:
Readers are the backbone of Colonnades. Over J-Term, readers meet weekly with section editors to judge anonymous submissions to determine what should be
included in the magazine. Being a reader does not deny you the right to submit; on the contrary, we encourage it! Just speak with section editors prior to your piece being critiqued to create a plan of action. The reader experience is an underrated part of the Colonnades experience. The magazine would not exist without our section committees; they ensure that what goes in the magazine is a community decision. Being a reader is an especially low-stakes way to get involved and explore the artistic side of campus. And really, it's just so much fun to just talk about art with friends.
